Yesterday, we had a wonderful Ribbon Cutting ceremony. Over 150 people attended, including Board Members from MUSD and SJECCD, Dave Cortese, President of the Santa Clara Board of Supervisors, Senator Bob Wieckowski, and the Mayor of Milpitas Mr. Jose Esteves.

The Ribbon Cutting ceremony marks a new milestone in Education. This project will be the home for Coding Academy TECHNEST@SJCC #1 and also as a place to develop best practices and apply the vision of the 2021 Scholars Initiative.

The construction @Milpitas is at 90% and we expect to work on final aspects of the facility in the coming months. This is an exciting project for all of us. Now the work starts. We will reach out to different individuals to participate in programming and operational discussions.

We will organize a tour so you can see first hand our presence in a new location and the potential of making the connection to K-12 and beyond.

Attached is also the presentation shared during the Joint Board Meeting.

Thank you, everyone,, who directly or indirectly contributed to defining a vision for this location, and those of you involved in the planning and execution of it.

Best regards,

Jorge L. Escobar
